Making a oil tank into a grill seemed like a fun weekend thing to do, and of course you finish the weekend off with a BBQ and some nice cold beer.

I think that like most ideas that involve beer it was a much better idea when I thought of it than when I actually started doing it. Getting the oil tank was one thing, cutting it in half without emptying it properly was something else altogether. There are pics on facebook I think of me jumping around like a madman with a hosepipe and flames coming out of the oil tank (well I thought it was oil).

Learn the lesson from me, check your plans twice so you only have to cut once and check that the tank really is empty before you start doing anything at all.
